Masterclass Seminar: Koryu Bujutsu with Kunio Morimoto Sensei

Enjoy this rare opportunity to train with a true old-school master and historian of AUTHENTIC martial arts of feudal Japan.

This summer we will be hosting grandmaster Kunio Morimoto of Japan. He is a permanent director of the Nihon Kobudo Shinkokai (
www.kobushin.jp) and a member of the Nihon Kobudo Kyokai (www.nihonkobudokyoukai.org). He is also the director of Chugoku and Shikoku Branch of the Japanese Academy of Budo. Quite astonishingly, he holds 3 Menkyo Kaiden ranks (full transmision) in koryu jujutsu, iaido/iaijutsu and kenjutsu.

Morimoto sensei founded the Kanoukan organisation in Japan to promote and preserve the 3 classical samurai martial art styles;
■ 澁川一流柔術 Shibukawa Ichi Ryu Jujutsu
■ 無雙神傳英信流抜刀兵法 Muso Shinden Eishin Ryu Iai Heiho
■ 大石神影流剱術 Oishi Shinkage Ryu Kenjutsu

Morimoto sensei is a master teacher with a keen eye for details and through the styles we practice, he refines bio-mechanics with principles such as posture, relaxation, breathing and use of the tandem (center of mass) to generate power through armed or unarmed combat.

Contact jikandojo@hotmail.co.uk for more info. or read on the history of the styles here..

Further private training camps and seminars with Master Morimoto will be held throughout August by invitation only. The best way to get involved with those extra events is to attend any of our open seminars between March to July and enquire in person.
